The antibiotics in the pack expire one year from the issue date, as do the symptom management medicines. There are ways to prolong shelf life, such as keeping the antibiotics away from heat and sunlight; however, once they hit the year mark the best way to ensure they are effective as possible is to get them replaced.
How long will my pack take to arrive?
Once the medical history is reviewed by one of our doctors, it is passed onto the pharmacy for shipment. It generally takes your order between 2-5 business days to arrive once they have gotten to the pharmacy.
Where does Contingency Medical operate?
We currently only operate in the United States serving all 50 states and Washington D.C.

While each policy has the potential to be different, YES you can use your HSA to pay for antibiotics that come with a prescription from a doctor. This is the process followed when our packs are prescribed so it should be covered.

When is payment processed?
Payment is processed at checkout and is immediately refunded should the medical pack not ship. This happens if there are medical complications that prevent prescribing the pack.
Do these kits replace in-person medical care?
Nothing replaces in person medical care. These packs are designed to help in the event modern medicine is unavailable. If symptoms worsen or new symptoms appear, stop treatment and seek immediate medical attention. Always consult a physician before beginning treatment.
What should I do with the medicines if my pack expires?
Follow FDA guidelines for safe disposal of medications. Visit the DEA Takeback program for official disposal locations.
How do I get ahold of my physician?
As part of your purchase you have access to a physician for as long as your pack is unexpired, which is one year. During that time you can reach out anytime you require assistance and are unable to get physical care.
Your kit includes free access for one year to a licensed physician who can answer questions about your medications, symptoms, side effects, or changes in condition.
To get ahold of your physician, either reply to the email correspondence you initially received from your physician or log into the patient app included in that message. If you can’t do either of these – reach out to support@contingencymedical.com and we will help you get connected!
